DDOT/Sharlene Reed to Make Streetscape Beautification Presentation at April ANC Meeting

Guest Presenter: Sharlene Reed, D.C. Dept. of Transportation (DDOT)

DDOT is working to finalize grants that will bring streetscape improvements including banners, wrong iron tree boxes, and plants to our neighborhood. Ms. Reed will present the grant proposals and gather final citizen input for the Eckington and Hanover/Truxton Circle grants. See http://www.dcstreetscapeenhancements.orgThe current Eckington proposal is for hanging plant baskets and banners only. Hanover will also receive tree boxes and other improvements.

Additional highlights: Capt. Melvin Scott, 5D MPD, will give a Public Safety Report and residents will be given an opportunity to express community concerns.
